RS2 Katy Perry #Losing?

Katy Perry #Losing?

Is the music industry falling apart? Why there aren’t boat loads of money coming into these singers? I believe it can be blamed on copywriting. There are numerous websites and music downloaders where you can download music illegally. As a matter of fact there are 230 million illegal downloads per day. If you add up the numbers these musicians are losing out on millions of dollars annually.

Katy Perry can be considered one of the most successful singers since Michael Jackson. She is the first person to have more than five number one hits on a single album. It is apparent that the music industry is at an all-time low when she is not making the same amount as Michael Jackson. People said Michael was “bathing in champagne” and living a life of a rock star. Katy Perry on the other hand is still living wealthy but not comparable to such successful musicians of the past. Society is not only robbing these singers of millions they are diminishing the music industry as a whole.

Katy Perry is one of thousands musicians that are losing out on profit from this economic catastrophe.  The internet piracy has full effect on Katy which is the main problem in the music and movie industry. She is very well aware of what is going on as well as the US Government. There is a threat now that the internet is going to be shut down for four months to reconstruct copyrighting saving the music and movie industry. It is complete bullshit that it has come this far to the point we must temporary ban the most reliable resource of our decade, the internet. For every song purchased Katy Perry’s record label makes $.25 and she is making a minimum off that. The record labels are not profiting off advertisements or apparel either.

I feel as if these figures are being robbed of their talent. They compose the music that keeps us going, and are not getting what they have earned in return. The industry is economically unstable and an alternative solution is necessary. If you have any feedback I am open to your opinion about Katy Perry and the music industries dilemma.
